Welcome to BLeaves Farms, LLC a seasonal, 2-acre microfarm nestled in Gilbert, Arizona. We’re Jeff and Britney, a husband-and-wife team committed to growing wholesome food, living simply, and staying connected to the land.
Everything here is done by hand and with heart. We grow fresh produce, herbs, fruit, and specialty citrus, and we collect farm eggs daily. We also create small-batch, artisan goods from our home kitchen, including farmhouse pierogies, elderberry syrup, loose-leaf herbal teas, hand-blended seasonings, fresh garden salsas, rustic artisan bread, and seasonal preserves. You’ll also find handcrafted art and goods that reflect our love for intentional, seasonal living.
Whether it’s a jar of tea blended from herbs we grew ourselves or a loaf of bread pulled from the oven that morning, our goal is simple: to nourish our community with real food made with care.
Meet the Farmers
BLeaves Farms began with a leap of faith and a desire for a slower, more meaningful life.
Jeff spent over 30 years in the fire service, leading with courage, calm, and grit. Now retired, he’s found new purpose in the kitchen as “Jeff the Fire Chef,” turning our seasonal harvests into comforting meals, fresh-baked goods, salsas, and more.
Britney brings deep pioneer roots, a passion for homesteading, and a love of learning to every corner of the farm. She’s a certified Master Gardener and holds an MBA in entrepreneurship and marketing. Her business sense and hands-on know-how help make our dream of sustainable, small-scale farming a reality.
Together, we’re building something rooted in tradition, grounded in the seasons, and full of heart.
What We Grow
Thanks to Arizona’s long growing season, we’re able to offer fresh, naturally grown produce most of the year, from heirloom tomatoes and crisp greens to vibrant squash, peppers, melons, corn, peanuts, garlic, beans, herbs, and more. We even have more exotic varieties, like papaya, passion fruit, and bananas. Every crop is grown with care and intention, chosen not just for flavor but for its ability to thrive in our soil and climate.
Our small citrus grove is a winter highlight, filling the air with the scent of ripening fruit. We grow specialty varieties you won’t find in big-box stores, like:
- Gold Nugget Mandarins: sweet, juicy, and bursting with flavor
- Kinnow Mandarins: bold and tangy with just the right bite
- Honey Mandarins: floral, delicate, and perfectly sweet
- Minneolas (Honeybells): bell-shaped, rich, and tangy-sweet
- Oro Blanco Grapefruit: giant, juicy, and surprisingly sweet with zero bitterness
- Meyer Lemons: soft-skinned, fragrant, and sweet enough to eat plain. They’re the secret to our lavender-infused lemonade, a seasonal favorite that tastes like sunshine in a glass.
We also tend a growing grove of elderberries, which we hand-harvest and use to make our signature elderberry syrup, crafted simply with local honey and traditional ingredients.
Everything we grow is free from synthetic chemicals and allowed to ripen naturally. We believe the best food is grown slowly, in rhythm with the seasons, and harvested with love, just as it should be. The gallery below offers just a small glimpse of the vibrant fruits, vegetables, and herbs we grow throughout the seasons, each one a reflection of the care, color, and flavor that fill our garden year-round.
How We Grow
We grow small. We grow slow. We grow with purpose.
Every seed is planted with intention and harvested by hand. We follow the natural rhythms of the land, letting each crop tell us when it’s time to sow, tend, or rest. Being a microfarm means we offer what’s thriving right now, at its seasonal best.
Our growing methods are completely natural and reflect our commitment to healthy soil, nutrient-dense food, and sustainability. When you taste our produce, you’re tasting the result of sun, soil, and time, not shortcuts.
Our Farm Family
BLeaves Farms is also home to a small group of rescued and beloved animals who bring so much heart to our homestead.
There’s Wilbur, Penny, and Oinkley, our friendly mini pigs who spend their days sunbathing, exploring, and happily grunting whenever they spot us. They remind us daily to slow down and enjoy the simple joys of life.
Claire, our rescued turkey, struts proudly through the pastures like she owns it (because she sort of does). She’s a pet, not food, and she knows it. Regal, talkative, and always ready for a photo op, Claire is a farm favorite.
Then there’s Gumby, our little chihuahua with a wobbly trot and a huge heart. After being passed over for adoption time and again, he finally found his forever home with us, and now he follows us everywhere like a tiny, loyal shadow.
We also share our space with two stunning Gypsy Vanner horses, Riverstone Irish Mist and Princess Adira, who bring beauty, grace, and a calming presence to the land. They’re part of our healing space and living reminders of resilience and trust.
These animals are family. Many have come from tough beginnings, and your support helps us give them a soft place to land and the care they deserve.
Arizona Cottage Food Program
We’re proudly registered with the Arizona Department of Health Services Cottage Food Program, which allows us to prepare approved foods from our home kitchen.
Certified Nest Run Egg Producer
We’re proudly registered as a Nest-Run Egg Producer with the Arizona Department of Agriculture, which means we can offer our daily collected eggs directly to you, no middlemen, no warehouses, just real eggs from hens you can feel good about.
Our flock is made up of a variety of heritage and specialty breeds, each laying eggs in their own unique shade, from soft blues and olive greens to speckled browns and creamy whites. Opening a carton from BLeaves Farms is like opening a box of treasures. No two eggs are the same, and that’s just how we like it.
Our hens are loved like family and fed a varied, wholesome diet that includes high-protein layer feed, garden greens, veggie trimmings, and plenty of foraged goodies. They spend their days living the kind of life every chicken should.
And the eggs? There’s simply nothing like a true farm egg. Rich in flavor, golden in color, and packed with nutrients, they’re worlds apart from anything you’ll find on a grocery shelf. Whether you’re baking, scrambling, or enjoying them soft-boiled with a sprinkle of sea salt, you’ll taste the difference.
When you buy eggs from BLeaves Farms, you’re not just getting better food, you’re supporting happy hens and a way of life that puts care first.
Farm Blog & Social Media
We love sharing what we’ve learned on our journey, from growing tips and farm-to-table recipes to homesteading how-tos, seasonal updates, and product recommendations. You can follow along with daily life on the farm, meet our animals, and see what we’re growing (or baking!) over on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Some of the links we share on our website or social media may be affiliate links, which means we earn a small commission if you make a purchase (at no extra cost to you). These small earnings help us keep the farm going, buying seeds, feeding animals, and investing in tools, fencing, and healthy soil.
Thank you for supporting us in all the little ways that make a big difference. Every click, comment, share, and kind word helps us keep growing.
