Raising a Coffee Queen: How Our Daughter’s Island Adventure Led to Big Dreams
At BLeaves Farms, life is full of animals, gardens, and peaceful mornings, always accompanied by a good cup of coffee.
This weekend, we ventured away from the farm to visit our daughter in North Phoenix, where she recently celebrated a huge milestone: a promotion to regional manager at a beloved local coffee shop! We couldn’t wait to visit their flagship store, and wow, was it a sight to behold!
The cozy atmosphere, the incredible food, and the smell of freshly roasted beans instantly transported us not just across the world, but across time.
A Love Story Brewing in Kona
Years ago, when Jeff and I honeymooned on the Big Island of Hawaii, we fell in love with Kona…and Kona coffee.

She also explored the Big Island’s breathtaking sights, swam with sea turtles in the ocean, hiked volcanic landscapes, and fell even deeper in love with nature and adventure.
Today, she’s even a small investor in Heavenly Hawaiian, living proof that following your passions can turn into real-life roots and rewards.
Brewing Her Own Dream
After coming home, our daughter took everything she learned and poured it (pun intended) into her career.
She started as a barista, perfecting the art of coffee, mastering delicate latte art with creamy froth designs that belong in a gallery.
Through pure grit and an unstoppable work ethic, she quickly rose to manager, and now regional manager, while also launching her own small business, the Cool Beans Coffee trailer!

The Coffee Shop: A Roaster’s Paradise
At the flagship store, we learned that this coffee shop doesn’t just serve great coffee, they roast their own!
They source green coffee beans from all over the world, including women-run farms in Chiapas, Mexico. They also own a coffee farm in Panama, ensuring the freshest, most sustainable blends possible.
